With the success of the previous pilot program, the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP), the IRCC has announced that they will be launching two new pilot programs: the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) and the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP).
- The Rural Community Immigration Pilot helps rural communities access programs designed to tackle labour shortages and assist local businesses in finding the workers they need.
- The Francophone Community Immigration Pilot aims to boost the number of French-speaking newcomers settling in Francophone minority communities outside of Quebec.
